Analog Futures, an exhibition I curated for the String Room Gallery at Wells College, brought together work by artists that explores the materiality of the media apparatus. The exhibition featured work by Brandon Barr, Jason Bernagozzi, LoVid, and pioneering video artist, Aldo Tambellini, as well as an installation created with Wells College students.

Ritual For Hybrid Media by Jason Bernagozzi
Performance created for Analog Futures, Well College, String Room Gallery, September 1, 2016. Bernagozzi is performing with a color wobbulator of his own construction. Images generated ad distorted through the wobbulator were projected on the gallery wall.
As part of Analog Futures, I worked with Wells College students to create a sculptural work entitled “Zombie Media” which consisted of over 150 unspooled VHS videotapes. At the “Analog Futures” opening on September 1, 2016, students performed an unspooling, extending the existing pile of videotape. The performance was silent.
